Join us at one of our upcoming public engagement sessions to discuss capital improvements at three of our four middle schools! Details below:
After completing much of the infrastructure work needed in our elementary and high school spaces, we now need to address the significant improvements needed at three of our four middle schools: Franklin, Monroe, and Edison.
These aging 1960s buildings need to be modernized to provide safer and more secure buildings with learning spaces that support the rigorous curriculum our community expects and deserves.
The exciting news is our district’s fiscal responsibility has given us a unique opportunity to modernize our middle schools while giving our taxpayers property tax relief in the bond and interest portion of the tax levy.
As a community, we worked together throughout 2023 to determine a plan and nearly 1,300 community members took part in this process. Join our upcoming public engagement sessions to hear about our updated plan and provide your feedback.

📣Internet Outage Update as of 4:30 p.m.📣
All District 200 buildings are still without internet as of 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29.
Late this afternoon, Comcast was able to identify that a fiber was physically cut, causing this internet outage, which has impacted many school districts across the state. Comcast is still trying to locate where the fiber was cut. In the meantime, Comcast is working to reroute connections to a new path to restore internet access. At this point, they have not given us an ETA on when we will have internet access.
We will keep you updated as we learn more information.
📣Phone/Internet Outage Update as of 11:40 a.m.📣
The phones are back up and running at all District 200 buildings. At this time, the internet is still out across the District due to a regional Comcast outage.

Mr. Ferguson will be replacing Ms. Leah Carter, who submitted her resignation, and her last day with the District will be at the end of the 2023-24 school year.
Mr. Ferguson is no stranger to District 200 having served as a Dean at Wheaton North High School for the past 14 years. Prior to that, he spent 10 years teaching physical education at Wheaton Warrenville South. He began his career at Holy Cross High School as a health teacher and department chair for three years. Mr. Ferguson earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Westmar University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership in general administration from Chicago State University.
Wheaton Warrenville South High School Principal Lorie Campos is thrilled to welcome Mr. Ferguson to her administrative team. “I want to congratulate Mr. Ferguson on his appointment as the new Assistant Principal for Student Services at WWS,” said Campos. “Mr. Ferguson brings a wealth of knowledge, strong leadership skills, and displays a true passion for supporting students, which will all be an asset to our building when he begins his new role. We are overjoyed to welcome Ryan back ‘home’ to Tiger Nation."

I am eager to get started, and I can't wait to get to know the students, staff, parents, and community members that are the heart of Tiger Nation.” #YourCommunitySchools
