Reflections Committee

We sincerely thank all the students who participated in the 2020-21 PTA Reflections Program. In these challenging times, they created in basements, garages, backyards, hallways and out in nature to express this year’s theme. Students in D200 schools submitted more than 150 entries representing all six arts categories of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music, Photography, and Visual Arts.

Students from 11 elementary schools and four middle schools met the challenge to submit entries expressing how “I Matter Because…” while PTA leaders, school staff and parents stepped up to encourage, support, document and upload their imaginative students’ works.

WWPTA Council Judges selected 71 entries to move to the DuPage West PTA District Level. This year rather than our usual in-person celebration honoring all the District 200 Artists whose artwork advanced to the DuPage West Region, the Wheaton-Warrenville PTA Council hosted a Zoom Live Stream Event on Thursday, March 18, at 7PM. The event included 25 presenters honoring the artists responsible for 74 outstanding creations. In addition, we recognized the five students submitting themes for future Reflections Programs have advanced to the next level.

At the PTA District Level, 19 pieces were selected to advance to the State level.  From those 19, three were acknowledged with Honorable Mentions from Illinois PTA and one of our artists has her work advancing to National PTA.

We invite you to join us in celebrating our artists. Click below to access a recording of the Zoom Live Stream and our virtual program.
