On Wednesday, September 4, the new Outdoor Science Classroom at Wheaton North High School was officially opened with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Since 1999, Wheaton North has utilized one of its courtyards near the science wing as an outdoor pond and nature space full of native plants.
Through the direction of Principal Dan Korntheuer and the design of science teacher, Lisa Volesky, Matt Alexander of MGA Services reshaped the landscape to expand the learning areas to now accommodate a full class of students. Falcon Wings also donated patio tables to fully convert the courtyard into a functioning learning space. Thank you to all the staff and generous donors who made this outdoor classroom possible. #YourCommunitySchools
