Hugh Boger

At their March 12 meeting, the Board of Education approved Hugh Boger as the new Principal of Pleasant Hill Elementary School beginning on July 1. Mr. Boger will be replacing Mrs. Debra Klein, who has been serving as the Interim Principal at Pleasant Hill this year, and will be retiring after 33 years in CUSD 200.

Mr. Boger comes to CUSD 200 from Naperville Community Unit School District 203 where he has served as the Principal at Scott Elementary School since 2017. Mr. Boger has also served in other leadership positions in District 203 as the Assistant Principal at Highlands and Ranch View elementary schools for two years, and Assistant Principal at Kingsley Elementary School for two years. He began his career in education as a fourth and fifth grade teacher before serving as a Dean of Students at Stonybrook Intermediate Academy in Indianapolis. Mr. Boger earned a master's degree in education from Indiana University, and his principal licensure from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler is pleased to welcome Mr. Boger to CUSD 200. “I want to congratulate Mr. Boger on his appointment as the new Principal of Pleasant Hill Elementary School,” said Dr. Schuler. “Mr. Boger comes to Pleasant Hill with more than a decade of school leadership experience. His leadership helped his current school earn a National Blue Ribbon School designation in 2024, and also achieved the exemplary summative designation for two consecutive years. Mr. Boger's proven track record of success makes him a valuable addition to CUSD 200, and we are excited to see the positive impact he will have on Pleasant Hill.”

Mr. Boger is looking forward to his new role with CUSD 200.
