Mrs. Campos has deep roots in District 200 having served as Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at South since 2011 and also in the same role at Wheaton North High School from 2000 to 2011. Prior to being an administrator, Mrs. Campos taught science at Bloomington High School. She earned a B.A. in Science Education and an M.A. in Education Administration and Foundations, both from Illinois State University. On a personal level, members of the Campos family are Tigers through and through with two of Mrs. Campos’ children having graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South and two more will graduate in the next few years.
Late last week, Superintendent Jeff Schuler shared with the Wheaton Warrenville South school community that the current principal Mr. Scott McDermott is moving back to his prior district beginning on July 1. Dr. Schuler said that he is “confident that Mrs. Campos will continue to ensure that all of our staff, students, and parents continue to enjoy the incredible experience and traditions at Wheaton Warrenville South High School.”
Mrs. Campos is excited about this new leadership opportunity at her school. “I am honored and excited to take on the principal role at Wheaton Warrenville South High School,” said Campos. “I look forward to working closely with the students, staff, and community to build on our strong traditions, culture, and academic excellence to provide an amazing Tiger Nation experience for all. Go Tigers!”
