Congratulations to Haylie Hinckley for earning a 1st place title for the Floor Exercise in the State Gymnastics Competition. Haylie is the first female gymnast in the school’s history to place 1st in gymnastics in the State Competition!

Participation in a co-curricular opportunity is an important part of the high school experience and contributes to students being connected to their respective schools. Research indicates that student-connectedness has shown correlations to increased academic outcomes and decreased emotional distress. In District 200, our high school students have access to a wide array of clubs, activities, and athletic offerings for students including 28 athletic opportunities, 50 clubs, 10+ performing arts opportunities, and multiple honor societies. Recognizing the importance of co-curricular participation, the District began tracking this metric several years ago and included it on the District’s new dashboard. We are pleased to share that 72% of our high school students participate in a sport, club, or activity.
