MRSA Parent Information

Dear Parents,

We have received a few inquires from parents about the precautions the District is taking with respect to media reports regarding methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).  This message is an attempt to inform you about the steps the District is taking concerning this situation.

In consultation with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the DuPage County Health Department, our District health staff has shared background, procedures, and response protocols with each of our schools and the building and grounds department.  More specifically, our activities and athletic program staff have initiated precautionary measures to address this potential infection.  We have coordinated initiatives with schools in our athletic conference to provide consistent safeguards whenever possible.
