Board of Education Meetings

The public is invited and encouraged to attend Board of Education meetings. Meetings are normally held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. The meetings are rotated among the District's schools during the school year and are normally held in the School Service Center during school holidays and vacations. Public comments on issues related to District 200 operations and programs are invited at the beginning of each board meeting. If you want to address the Board, we ask that you sign in at the table located near the entrance to the meeting room. Individuals may speak at the time designated for public comment or request to speak to a specific agenda item when the board addresses that topic during the meeting. The board requests that comments be limited to three minutes.

The superintendent and board president plan the meeting agenda the week before the meeting. Documents pertaining to items on the agenda, along with information and recommendations from the superintendent, are delivered to Board Members several days before the meeting. This procedure gives members ample time to review agenda items and come to the meeting prepared to conduct District business.
