Thank you to all community members who participated in our survey. We invite everyone to review the full report on our website. The survey provided the Board of Education with key information:
It confirmed that our community greatly values the education we provide.
It provided the community’s reaction to the proposed facility projects.
It revealed the community’s response to a property tax increase to finance the proposed facility projects.
Over the past 16 months, the Board of Education and District administration have engaged our community, staff and architects to develop a Facilities Master Plan. The work included an educational assessment of our buildings, combined with an existing physical assessment, to provide a detailed, long-term view of our building needs.
With the results of the survey, the Board of Education continues consideration of a bond proposal on the April 2017 ballot to complete approximately $154 million in work identified in this plan and detailed here.
To help us make that decision, the Board also continues to seek stakeholder input. Please join us at any one of the Facility Open Houses listed below. We will provide an overall project overview, as well as short, school-based presentations on a rotating basis. Join us at a time that is convenient for you.
